Since its beginning in 1992, SAINS has helped the Sarawak State Government achieve a relatively high level of ICT utilisation, making remarkable progress in raising ICT competency in Sarawak.

Today, SAINS has branch offices in almost all divisions of Sarawak. Through our subsidiary, Silicon Communications Sdn Bhd, we also have offices in Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Penang in Peninsular Malaysia. This is to ensure that we are easily accessible to our customers throughout the country. In 2005, SAINS established its presence in Brunei Darussalam by partnering with ZimacSilicon Technology (B) Sdn Bhd a prominent local IT provider.

Our greatest achievement has been putting Sarawak onto the IT radar of Malaysia. SAINS' achievements in revolutionizing the Sarawak Government’s IT systems is today recognised as a benchmark by other States in Malaysia; with some State Governments attempting to replicate our holistic model of IT development.
