The Rural ICT Guided Home-based Technopreneur (RIGHT) Programme is seen as a holistic approach towards bridging the prevailing rural-urban digital divide in Sarawak.

The RIGHT Programme was initiated by SAINS as the owner of the programme. Through this programme, SAINS is putting forward its social contribution and obligation to the State in helping to narrow the rural-urban digital divide. SAINS main target group are individuals residing in the rural areas who have the talents and interests but lacking the knowledge and skills to push them forward. The programme is expected to offer them the golden opportunities to utilise their talents and to further prove themselves.

On May 6, 2006, SAINS is proud to launch the RIGHT Programme in Miri, in conjunction with the PIKOM PC Fair 2006. The State-level launching also unveils its pioneer batch made up of five youths from Merapok, Matu, Betong and Serian.
