As part of its continuous efforts in promoting utilisation of ICT in the State, the Information and Communication Technology Unit (ICTU), Chief Minister's Department of Sarawak in collaboration with SAINS, are proud to organise the Sarawak Open Source Competition. It aims to promote public awareness and to encourage participation and contribution to Open Source Initiatives in the State.

The Competition, which covers various areas of software development and configuration, is open to all Sarawakians and boasting a total of RM10,000 cash and other consolation prizes for the lucky and deserving winners.

A Prize Giving Ceremony, graced by Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak was recently held to reward the winners for their hard work and commendable efforts.
