MIRI: Home grown internationally award winning ICT company, Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd (SAINS) is sponsoring Curtin’s newest award, the SAINS Top ICT Graduate Award. This award is presented to Curtin’s most outstanding new graduate in the field of Computer Science. The award consists of a monetary prize of RM2000 in addition to a certificate of accomplishment.

This year, the first year that the Award is being presented at Curtin, saw the award going to Curtin’s graduate, Andrew Wong Wei Loong. Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr. George Chan Hong Nam, who is also the Chairman of SAINS presented the SAINS Top ICT Graduate Award at Curtin’s graduation ceremony held in Miri.

Andrew who graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Systems and Networking was on both the Dean’s List and the Vice-chancellor’s List in his time at Curtin, Sarawak.

SAINS also sponsored a similar award at Swinburne University, Sarawak. The awards are a move on the part of SAINS to encourage excellence in the ICT fields among today’s youths. As an internationally award winning company, SAINS is always on the lookout for fresh new talent and the awards help SAINS pick out the best of the best.
