SIBU: State Secretary Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Husain said yesterday that the e-government system would be fully implemented in Sarawak by 2008. Speaking at the closing of a seminar for Sarawak community leaders at Kingwood Hotel here yesterday, he said the government must reach this goal in line with the nation's vision to become a developed nation.

He said efforts had been made and the government had already set up Sarawak Information System Sdn Bhd to look into this and at the same time upgraded the State Library.

On the seminar, he said it was to make the leaders understand the development of Sarawak." The State is heading towards the second wave of mammoth development. It is crucial that they see their roles."

He said towards building an e-government, the "E-System Community Leader" was launched yesterday to link the leaders with government the agencies.
