KUCHING: Mobif reported on May 20 that it had signed an agreement with Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd (SAINS), appointing SAINS as the marketer and distributor of the companies products on an exclusive basis in Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan and Brunei with the condition that Sains is also authorised to market, distribute end resell the company's products in peninsular Malaysia.

There will be no capital outlay for the company and this agreement is not expected to have a material effect on earnings or net assets for FYE Dec 31, 2006.

Reported on its website, Sains is wholly owned unit and is the ICT arm of the State government.
