KUCHING: The Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd (SAINS) donated its Library Management System, LibMasV3, to SMK Samariang.

This is part of SAINS' pledge to assist in closing the urban-rural digital divide, and to fulfill its corporate social responsibility of promoting education and the availability of information for all.

Another similar Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is the building of ICT capacity in situ among rural communities through our Rural ICT Guided Home-based Technoprenuer (RIGHT) Programme.

LibMasV3 is a Library Management System designed and developed by SAINS, specifically for small to mid-sized libraries, to facilitate the efficient management of library collections and membership services.

Requiring nothing more complicated than a simple computer to run on, LibMas will assist librarians in acquiring and cataloging library materials, managing memberships and the circulation of library materials, allowing for online inquiries on the availability of library materials and much more.

SAINS started operation in 1992 and has since grown and strategically developed a presence in Malaysia as a leading ICT Systems Integrator and Solutions Provider.

Its services and solutions ranges from IT consultancy, software development and integration, networking and systems engineering, project management, IT training, data conversion and digitisation, facility management and operations support services.
