Public Library Services: IFLA/UNESCO Guidelines for Development

Penang Public Library recently organised a 4-day workshop and exhibition on library development as a continuation of the International Conference on Changes And Challenges of Public Services to Bridge the Digital Divide held in June 2003.

The event was officiated by YB Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan, Penang State Executive Councillor of Local Government, Traffic Management, Information and Community Relations.

Apart from Sains (who proudly exhibits its renowned library system, Angkasa), eleven other exhibitors from various states and fields of technology joined in the show. The workshop on the other hand, was attended by more than fifty librarians and library officers in the country
