The Local Council Information System was developed and built to equip local councils with the ability to deploy standardised and best practices of management to improve the overall administration of local councils. By bringing ICT to local councils, they can keep up with swift changes in ICT and implement the best management practices. With the system, local councils can now offer services to the public 24x7 through web-based e-business functions.

Local Authority Geographic Information System (LAGIS)

LAGIS is an integrated geospatial application system that offers consistent and standardised business process practices for all the Local Councils within the state. It provides functionalities for users to better manage and utilise the departmental geospatial data. LAGIS will deliver the following modules:

LAGIS is able to integrate with other municipal information systems. The decision support quality in LAGIS enables Local Councils to fully utilise their GIS data at all levels thereby establishing an environment where users from both the public and council will benefit from receiving and delivering the most up-to-date information for deals and decision-making.
