The system was developed to provide the capability to monitor all aspects of government development projects and to allow efficient reporting of project matters, such as project profile, financial allocation, monitoring of physical progress and geospatial related information for analysis. The system was renamed to ‘Sarawak Monitor’ by the Chief Minister of Sarawak in 2005, during the launching of the upgraded system.
